Christopher Kyle Green (b. 1996) is an American composer whose work for winds explores memory, displacement, and emotional inheritance through expressive melodic language and orchestral color. A lifelong musician, Green began composing at an early age and has developed a voice rooted in narrative depth, timbral sensitivity, and ensemble color.

Green holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory from Kennesaw State University, where his works were premiered by the Kennesaw State University Wind Ensemble and other university ensembles. His music has been performed by professional, university, and community ensembles—including the Dallas Wind Symphony, The Desert Winds, and the Tara Winds—and has reached audiences around the world. He is the recipient of the 2015 Dallas Wind Symphony Call for Fanfares and the 2016 Kennesaw State University Composition Contest.

In 2017, Green joined the RWS Music Publishing Company roster, where many of his works are currently published. His compositions have been featured at state and regional conferences, including commissioned premieres by secondary and collegiate wind ensembles. In addition to concert works, Green has written extensively for the marching band medium, with performances by programs across the southeastern United States.

Green earned his Master of Social Work degree in 2020 and is now a fully licensed psychotherapist, working at the university level. His dual career as composer and clinician informs his music, grounding it in empathy, psychological insight, and human connection. As a composer, Green’s mission is to express what words cannot; he believes that symphonic literature offers a universal form of expression that deepens collective empathy and understanding.
