“A Rocket To The Sun” is an inspiring concert opener or closer for your beginning band! Written to commemorate NASA’s Parker Solar Probe, this piece offers the opportunity to connect students and audiences with current scientific discovery about the Sun’s corona and solar weather. Using the notes of the B flat concert scale and keeping the clarinets under the break, “A Rocket To The Sun” will reinforce technique and contrasting performance styles.
